Objective Summary part 2

In part two of Mark Bowden's "Black Hawk Down", He goes through the conflict as a second black hawk is shot down. The rangers quickly secure the wreckage and evacuate the crew. The rest of the Rangers continue to try to get to the original helicopter that was shot down. He reviews how most of the somali soldiers had started out at a very young age, as child soldiers, and how often their allegiances change as time goes on stating "Ali had been fighting in these streets already a decade, since he was fourteen years old and had  been drummed into Siad Barre's army"(216). Bowden consistently brings up the hatred that the somalis have for the United States and how that fuels them to fight them off. He also describes how the wage war, they stay in crowds of civilians and run from hiding place to hiding place, far enough away to not be a huge target.
